BEAR + Kensington Presents

We're excited to announce our very first concert at The York Manor, a beautifully renovated historic church in the heart of Highland Park. The pews are gone, but the character is all there. We fell hard for the tall arches, stained glass and gorgeous grounds.

Like the church itself, the program is a new take on a classic work. The Get Down Boys and Pretty Polly will perform their spin on Raising Sand, the legendary collaboration of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. The Raising Sand Tribute Band -- their name for the night -- will literally take us to church with soulful riffs and angelic harmonies. They're two of our favorite Bluegrass/Americana acts and this is the perfect soundtrack for summer.

Kicking off the night is a violin duo playing classical chamber music with a creative twist. The Salastina Music Society has played for millions in live venues and on shows like Performance Today. We're beyond lucky to have them in such a small setting with such a big sound.

In true Kensington style, we'll start with a garden party -- great local food, craft cocktails, typewriter poetry -- and move inside for the music.

We can't wait to bring the Kensington community to a new space in a new neighborhood. See you there!
