About the Artists:

Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress Hila Plitmann is a glittering jewel on the international music scene, known worldwide for her astonishing musicianship, light and beautiful voice, and the ability to perform challenging new work. She has accumulated an impressive catalogue of varied recordings, including Hans Zimmer’s Grammy winning soundtrack for The Da Vinci Code, Eric Whitacre’s Good Night Moon with the LSO, and Oscar winner John Corigliano’s song-cycle Mr Tambourine Man with the Buffalo Symphony (for which she won a best female vocalist Grammy). Hila has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and lives with her son and their cat in Los Angeles.

Breana Gilcher is an oboe and English horn player, teacher, and board-certified Music Therapist based in Los Angeles. She enjoys improvisation, close collaboration with composers and performers, and the music of J.S. Bach. A freelance musician in orchestral, chamber, studio, and improvisational settings, Breana continually seeks to explore new sound possibilities while also learning from and being inspired by the noise of the past.

Adrianne Pope is a violinist and sound maker based in Los Angeles. As a chamber musician and promoter of new music, she is a member of the new music collective wild Up and a founding member of Aperture Duo. She is a member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and is an active freelance musician and soloist in the Los Angeles area, as well as a Teaching Artist at The Harmony Project. Along with performing, Adrianne enjoys making new instruments, tap dancing, working with textiles, bodysurfing, and gardening.

Tom Benko is a Chicagoland percussionist, educator and composer. Tom is the Director of Percussion at Maine South High School teaching the Percussion Methods and Drumline classes as well as all private lessons. Tom also performs as one of the kit players with Blue Man Group Chicago, a muli-instrumentalist for folk singer Kevin Presbrey, performs with the Chicago Bulls Stampede, and just released a full length with his band, Minor Characters.

Amanda is a versatile percussionist from the Los Angeles area. She performs music ranging from orchestral and jazz to pop and world genres, and has shared the stage with many world-class musicians, including Michael Giacchino, Stephen Perkins, Andy Narell, Liam Teague, Ray Holman, eighth blackbird, Billy Sheehan, Victor Provost, Martin Chalifour, Christopher Washburne and SYOTOS, New Music Chicago, and Matthew Tembo.

Los Angeles-based percussionist Kristen Klehr tours with Scrap Arts Music, is on faculty for Malletlab, and enjoys a multifaceted path within the music industry. In her spare time you can find her collaborating with singer/songwriters in the city for various marimba-voice projects. She is proudly endorsed by Dream Cymbals.
